2025 Water Line Replacement Project
September 26 update:
CCI is planning on starting the excavation on Buck Haven Drive working from Southeast end at meter pit working towards Button Rock. We will also have another crew Excavating on Cheyenne at tie in point working southwest towards Button Rock. This work is planned to be accruing for the next 2 weeks. Access will be limited; we will try and accommodate access for vehicles as much as we can.
We are also planning on having our 3rd crew installing water valves and fire hydrant on Button rock and Estes Park Estates drive next week. Once these items are installed, we will start testing the waterline. Should take a week to complete the testing. After the testing has passed we will install the water services.
September 10 Update:
NOTICE OF TRAFFIC IMPACTS Estes Park Estates Drive Road Closure: Starting September 11th - December 1, 2025
Dear Residents,
As part of our ongoing construction efforts on Estes Park Estates Drive, Colorado Civil Infrastructure (CCI) would like to notify you of several important updates that may impact your home or travel through the neighborhood. Upcoming Full Road Closure – Beginning September 11th to December 1st Construction activities will be taking place along Estes Park Estates Drive beginning Thursday, September 11th, through Monday, December 1st. We will be closing Estes Park Estates Drive at the intersection of Button Rock Rd. and Estes Park Estates Drive for through access. If you reside within the road closure, you will have access to all parts of the road where excavation is not taking place as well as driveway access. We understand that these activities may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these necessary improvements. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 720-665-2527 or kevin@co-civil.com. Sincerely, Kevin Gronquist Colorado Civil Infrastructure 720-665-2527
August 19 Update: CCI crews are currently working on Button Rock Rd. in front of 130/146 Button Rock Rd. They will continue installing to the North for the remainder of this week. No new developments. Button Rock Rd. will remain closed for the remainder of this week and next week.
Please remind all Residents that there is an open trench and to beware when you are walking through the neighborhood, especially with pets off the leash.
August 15: CCI construction crews are currently working on Button Rock Rd. installing pipe between 48 Button Rock Rd. and 130 Button Rock Rd. Orange fence was placed around the work area near STA 75+00 and rock socks are being installed in locations where drainage may occur. They will continue to move north on Button Rock Rd. on Monday and through next week.
August 12. CCI is working through the Button Rock Rd. region and will continue to have road closures through this week and next. The excavation has been slow and daunting; we are working to stay within our digging limits while digging through this ‘Neverending’ rock. No water shut offs will take place this week or next. If Trash Boxes are left on the roadway for trash pickup, our crew will move it to a location accessible for pickup. Road closures on Buck Haven Lane will not occur until after the 20th so that we don’t disturb their event taking place. This message has been relayed to the resident on Buck Haven Ln.
August 1. All new service lines on Buttonrock are hooked up to the temporary line, so they can start with digging on Estes Park Estates Dr - but this isn't happening until Monday (just confirmed with the excavator operator). They still plan on having a one way road through there, as opposed to just closing it entirely, but probably with a few short closures for moving machinery around, etc.
July 31, 2025. The construction crew will be hooking up lines on Buttonrock today. Please expect some service interruptions throughout the day in the Buttonrock, Buckhaven and Estes Park Estates areas. Sorry, not able to be more exact with information. If you see them in front of your house, you will likely experience an interruption. Gabi 303.823.5345

Because of the growing demand for water, Pinewood’s Water District designed a plan that included installing large-diameter pipe, and the reservoir’s construction. The pictures below show the projects from inception to completion. Approximate date; from inception in 2000 to 2009 when the reservoir was first filled.
